Require two-factor sign-in for everyone in your academy

Turn on the academy policy so every member must set up an authenticator app before they can use the academy.

Written for: Owners and adminsUpdated

Steps

  1. Open Settings, then Security.

  2. Set up two-factor on your own account first. Until you do, the switch is blocked and a Set up two-factor button appears.

  3. Turn on Require two-factor authentication.

  4. If other admins have not set up two-factor, Require two-factor for everyone? lists them. They can’t use the academy until they set it up. Select Require two-factor to confirm.

Good to know

  • Before you turn it on, the page shows how many members have not set up two-factor yet. They are asked to set it up the next time they open the academy.
  • Members who still need two-factor are taken to the setup page when they open the app. That page stays open to them until they finish.
  • The policy asks for an authenticator app.
  • You can turn the policy off again at any time.
  • By default only owners and admins can open this page and change the policy.
  • The same page lists Active sessions for your academy’s members. Use Revoke to end any session you don’t recognize. Your own current session is marked This device and can’t be revoked here.
