Connect your own Razorpay or Stripe account
Turn on online collection, then connect your academy’s own payment account so family payments go to it.
Steps
Make sure online payments are on. Open Invoices, select Collection settings, choose Online collection under How does your academy collect fees?, and select Save.
Open Settings. Under Billing, select Payment accounts.
Turn on Use your own payment account.
Select the provider button, such as Connect Razorpay or Connect Stripe.
ChessCore takes you to the provider’s site to finish. For Razorpay, sign in to Razorpay and allow ChessCore to connect the account.
When you return, the account appears in the table with its Status, Mode, Setup and Health. If setup is not finished, select Continue setup, or Fix with the provider if the account is restricted.
If you connect more than one account, use Make primary from an account’s actions menu to choose which one takes new payments.
Good to know
- Connecting your own account is optional. Until one is ready, families pay through ChessCore’s payment account. You can also collect using your payment instructions or a payment link.
- Only an owner or admin can connect a payment account.
- The academy currency must be set before you connect. If it is missing, the page asks you to set it in Organization settings first.
- Razorpay accounts take payments in Indian rupees only. If your academy uses another currency, the page says so and the Razorpay button stays off.
- Payments families already made stay with the account they were paid to, and refunds of them go back the same way.
- To stop using an account, select Disconnect, then Disconnect account. You can’t reconnect that account later, so you would connect a new one instead. Disconnected accounts stay listed so their history is kept.
- The Stripe and Razorpay cards under Settings, Integrations do not connect a payment account. Keys saved there are not used. Use Payment accounts instead.
- At the end of the setup wizard, Finish and connect payments takes you straight to this page.
