Approve or reject actions waiting in Approvals
When Copilot proposes a high-stakes action that touches money, guardians or minors, it does not run it. It waits in Approvals until a second authorised person approves or rejects it. Paused workflow steps can also wait here.
Steps
In the sidebar, under People, select Approvals. If you do not see it, select More in that section first.
The Approvals page lists requests with their Action, Risk, Status and when they were Requested.
Filter by status to focus on what needs you: All, Pending, Approved, Executed, Rejected or Expired.
Use the search box (Search by action or person…) to find a specific request.
Check the risk badge. High-stakes marks actions that touch money, guardians or minors. A Pause badge means a paused workflow step, not a Copilot action.
To let the action run, select Approve, then Approve & run. The action runs straight away under your account, and its own permissions still apply.
To stop it, select Reject. You can add a Reason (optional), then select Reject request. A rejected action never runs and this cannot be undone.
Good to know
- You cannot approve your own request. A different person has to approve it.
- Only pending requests show the Approve and Reject buttons. Pending requests expire, and an expired request can no longer be approved.
- For a workflow pause, the buttons read Approve pause and Reject pause. Approving lets the workflow continue from its checkpoint and runs nothing by itself. Rejecting keeps the workflow paused, and it needs a new approval request to continue.
- Every approve, reject and run is written to the audit log.
- Owners and admins can see and decide approvals. The built-in finance role can too. Anyone else who opens the page is sent back to the dashboard.
