Connect your academy’s WhatsApp Business number

Connect your own verified Meta WhatsApp Business number so parents’ WhatsApp chats arrive in the Support inbox.

Steps

  1. Have your academy’s own verified Meta WhatsApp Business number ready. You need its Phone number ID, Business account ID and an access token from your Meta app’s WhatsApp Cloud API setup.

  2. Open Settings, then Integrations, and scroll to Support channels.

  3. On the WhatsApp card, select Connect. The Connect WhatsApp dialog opens.

  4. Fill in Display name, Phone number ID, Business account ID and Access token, then select Connect.

  5. The card now shows Connected and the date it was connected.

Good to know

  • Once connected, parents’ WhatsApp chats come into the Support inbox.
  • The access token is used only to connect the channel. It is not saved and is never shown again.
  • You need permission to change settings, which owners and admins have.
  • If connecting fails with a message that the integration is not configured for your academy yet, contact ChessCore support.
  • The WhatsApp card in the provider list at the top of Integrations does not connect your number. Credentials saved there are not used.
  • To disconnect, select Disconnect on the card, then Confirm.
