Tournaments
Run chess academy tournaments without the spreadsheet
ChessCore runs your academy’s events from entry to rating report. Run Swiss, round robin, knockout, arena and team events and simultaneous exhibitions, take entries and entry fees online, and publish live standings and pairings that update with every result.
Standings apply Buchholz, Sonneborn-Berger and head-to-head tiebreaks, results feed an Elo rating for each player, and the event exports as a FIDE TRF16 rating report. Arbiters get full control of results and rounds, and every player gets a certificate. Every event stays in your archive.

Players enter and pay online before they reach the hall
Each published tournament gets a public entry form. A player or parent fills it in without creating an account, picks a section and pays the entry fee online, and staff can add entries at the desk on the day.
Entry fees are collected through Razorpay or Stripe on Grow and above, the same connections your academy uses for fees and invoices. An academy student who enters is linked to their record, so the result lands next to their classes and games.
Parents follow the standings live, from the hall or home
Every tournament has a public page with the pairings, the results and the standings. It updates as results come in, including provisional standings while boards are still playing, so parents in the hall and at home see the same table.
You can embed the standings, the pairings or a player card on your own website with a signed embed link, and the embed updates in step with the public page.
Ties settled in the open, ratings ready to publish
Tiebreaks. ChessCore calculates Buchholz, Sonneborn-Berger and head-to-head, in the order you set before the event. The order shows on the public standings so nobody argues about it at prize-giving.
Elo ratings. Results feed an academy Elo rating for each player, with a Glicko option. You preview the changes before you publish them, and each player’s rating history keeps the event.
FIDE rating reports. The tournament exports as a FIDE TRF16 file for a rated event, and as a CSV for your national federation.
FIDE IDs and ratings. Player records carry FIDE IDs and FIDE, USCF or national ratings next to the academy rating, tracked over time. Ratings for families are explained in student progress tracking.

Your arbiter stays in charge, and every change is logged
Results. The arbiter enters each result from the hall and corrects one if a scoresheet says otherwise. Every change is logged with the name of the person who made it.
Rounds. Give byes, withdraw a player, pair the next round once the last result is in, and lock a finished round so it cannot be changed by accident.
Certificates a school can verify, and every event on file
At the end of an event, ChessCore issues a certificate to each player as a PDF with their rank, score and your academy logo, plus a QR code that opens a public check page, so a school or a parent can confirm it is real.
Finished events stay in your event archive with their pairings, standings and results, so last year’s championship is one click away when you plan this year’s. For a school event, read how to run a school chess tournament.
