Live classes
Teach online chess classes without a separate video app
ChessCore has a live classroom with video, audio and a shared chessboard the coach drives. Screen sharing, a whiteboard and live polls are planned. Board locks and waiting-room controls remain in development.
Record the class with consent. Automatic classroom attendance remains partially implemented. Class recaps are coach-reviewed by default. Academies can opt in to auto-publish summaries whose coach notes pass a completeness check.

Illustrative classroom concept. Screen sharing, whiteboard, polls, board locks and waiting-room controls are in development.
Elena drives the board. Every student sees Bb5 pin the c6 knight to the king as she moves.
Every student follows the same board as you teach
Built-in video and audio. The coach and students see and hear each other inside ChessCore. There is no separate meeting link to send and no other app to install.
A shared board. The coach drives one board and it moves on every student’s screen at once. Switch between legal moves and a free position to set up a study, and let students try a move when you unlock their boards.
Planning the lesson itself? The guide on how to run online chess classes covers class format, pacing and keeping quiet students involved.

Planned: share your slides and draw on the board
Screen sharing is planned. Sharing slides, studies or a game database inside the live classroom is not part of the available classroom.
A whiteboard is planned. The available teaching surface is the shared chessboard.
In development: control who moves and who comes in
Board locks and per-student teaching controls are partially implemented. The shared chessboard is available; confirm the classroom controls you need before planning a class around them.
Waiting-room admission is partially implemented. The batch and its timetable are on batch scheduling.
Planned: check who understood, and watch students’ games
Live polls and quizzes are planned. These classroom interactions are in development.
Watching student games in class is partially implemented. For available game review, see game analysis.
Rewatch recorded classes, with the recap drafted for the coach
Recording with consent. A class is recorded when families have given consent. Staff, parents and students play it back later from their own login.
Attendance from the class is partially implemented. Staff can use the attendance register, which the parent portal shows families.
AI class recap. After a recorded class, AI can draft a recap. Class recaps are coach-reviewed by default. Academies can opt in to auto-publish summaries whose coach notes pass a completeness check.
