Review and publish a class summary

After a captured class, ChessCore drafts a summary, homework ideas and a parent recap. You check and edit the draft, then publish it. Parents see the recap only after it is published.

Steps

  1. Open Class reviews in the Session intelligence group of the sidebar. Classes waiting for you show Not reviewed yet or Draft in progress.

  2. You can also start from the class page in the coach portal: select Class record, then Review and publish.

  3. Select Review next to the class. The page Review class summary opens with a status, Draft or Published, and the state of the AI summary, such as AI summary ready.

  4. On the Summary tab, edit Objectives (TL;DR), Coach summary and concepts, Positions (FENs, one per line), Openings, Themes and Action items (one per line). Correct or remove anything that did not happen in class.

  5. On the Homework tab, review each suggested item. Select a time chip next to Transcript evidence to read the part of the class transcript it came from. Select Convert to assignment to turn an item into a real assignment.

  6. On the Parent recap tab, edit the Parent recap message. It is shared with guardians when the summary is published.

  7. Select Save draft to keep your edits without publishing.

  8. When you are ready, select Publish. In the Publish class summary? window, select Publish summary. Later edits are published with Publish changes.

Good to know

  • By default, a summary waits for a coach to publish it. An academy can switch on automatic publishing. Even then, only summaries the system rates as high confidence publish on their own. The rest stay in Class reviews for you.
  • Only the coach assigned to the class, or an academy admin, can review and publish its summary.
  • A summary appears only for classes that were captured. On the class page, Start class intelligence starts capture for that class. Capture needs recording consent for the students in the batch.
  • After publishing, the Student insights tab lets you select Extract insights and then Accept or Reject each student’s insight.
