Price at your roster
What it costs at your size
Chessverse charges for each student, so its bill grows with each enrolment inside a band. ChessCore charges a flat price for a capacity tier. The rupee totals below multiply Chessverse’s published annual-billing rate by the roster size, and the dollar prices are ChessCore’s annual plans. The two columns stay in their own currencies. Compare the same commitment on both sides, and note the plan each ChessCore feature needs.
30students
- ChessCore
- Core: $69 a month billed annually, $89 monthly. With UPI AutoPay, Grow: $109 a month billed annually, $139 monthly
- Chessverse
- Starter Academy (up to 50 students, 3 coach seats): INR 229 a month for each student on annual billing, so INR 6,870 a month at 30 students
What it meansChessCore Core at $69 a month billed annually, or Grow at $109 a month billed annually with UPI AutoPay. ChessCore’s price stays the same up to 100 students, while Chessverse’s grows with each student inside its band. The two are in different currencies and are not converted here.
100students
- ChessCore
- Core: $69 a month billed annually, $89 monthly. With UPI AutoPay, Grow: $109 a month billed annually, $139 monthly
- Chessverse
- Growth Academy (up to 100 students, 7 coach seats): INR 199 a month for each student on annual billing, so INR 19,900 a month at 100 students
What it meansChessCore Core at $69 a month billed annually, or Grow at $109 a month billed annually with UPI AutoPay. Inside a Chessverse band each extra student adds that band’s rate. At the 100-student cap its next band, Pro Academy, lists INR 179 a student, so ask whether that rate applies to every student or only to those above 100 before you price 101 or more.
300students
- ChessCore
- Grow: $109 a month billed annually, $139 monthly, UPI AutoPay included
- Chessverse
- Pro Academy (up to 500 students, 20 coach seats): INR 179 a month for each student on annual billing, so INR 53,700 a month at 300 students
What it meansChessCore Grow at $109 a month billed annually, UPI AutoPay included, up to 500 students. Put both in your own currency at today’s rate before you compare them.
On ChessCore, Razorpay UPI AutoPay with Stripe, WhatsApp payment links and a custom domain start on the Grow plan, and automatic Lichess and Chess.com game sync starts on Pro. Chessverse prices are shown in its own currency as read on 16 October 2026, with no conversion.
The core difference
The core difference: depth of operations vs depth of branding
Chessverse describes itself as “The #1 Chess Academy Software & Coaching Platform to Scale Your Business”. It lists the place students train (5M+ puzzles, nine mini-games, a ReflexBuilder that turns a student’s real games into personalised puzzles, and live virtual classes) alongside scheduling, attendance tracking and payment processing, under your own domain with branded apps.
ChessCore is also where students train. Its catalog holds 6,095,563 rated puzzles from the open Lichess puzzle database, with puzzle sets matched to each student’s weak themes. A spaced-repetition queue with streaks and a leaderboard schedules practice, alongside human-like AI opponents at five levels, classmate games, guess-the-move exercises and a live classroom board. Its depth is on the business side: make-up credits, substitutions, payroll preparation, several centres, UPI AutoPay and a family ledger, with Stockfish review of coach-selected Lichess and Chess.com games (automatic sync from the Pro plan and up) and AI report drafts that wait for a person. See student training and the live classroom.
Illustrative screen from a made-up demo academy.
Operations
Scheduling on both; Chessverse goes further on branding
Both list scheduling and attendance tracking. Chessverse lists complete white-labeling with a custom domain, branded apps and custom colors. ChessCore supports academy logos and colours, while complete white label remains in development for chains on the Grow plan and up, with ChessCore identification retained. Chain custom domains remain partially implemented on the Grow plan and up with assisted setup. Families can install the portal from their browser as a web app.
Money
Fees paid online, matched to the right invoice
Both collect fees. Chessverse lists integrated payment processing, with plans priced per student per month and shown in rupees in the view we read. ChessCore collects through UPI AutoPay and Razorpay in India and Stripe abroad, from the Grow plan. Online Razorpay and Stripe payments are matched to their invoice automatically, and Razorpay payments that cannot be matched are queued for staff review. If you bill internationally as well as in India, confirm currency support on both sides (see ChessCore pricing).
Games and AI
Game reviews your coaches check instead of typing up
The two diverge most on game analysis and AI reports. Chessverse’s ReflexBuilder analyses a student’s real games to generate personalised puzzles. ChessCore does the same from the other side: a coach can send the mistakes Stockfish flags in a student’s analysed games straight into that student’s spaced-repetition queue as puzzles. It also points AI at the coach’s workflow. Stockfish evaluates the game, the AI drafts the review and the progress-report text in plain language, and that text waits for a coach to review it. Automatic monthly emails carry counts and ratings in a fixed template, with no AI narration, so an AI narrative and a monthly email are different things. We recorded no Chessverse statement about approval before a report reaches a parent. That is not recorded, which is different from absent. In ChessCore, Stockfish evaluates, the AI explains, and a person reviews what it drafts.
Families
Parents stay informed without messaging you
Both keep parents in the loop. Chessverse says parents can receive automated progress reports via WhatsApp or email and lists a parent dashboard, while ChessCore offers approved class recaps and progress reports over WhatsApp and a parent portal. The difference is again governance: on ChessCore, AI-drafted text waits until a person has reviewed it, while class reminders, fee reminders and monthly reports send on the schedule the academy switches on.
India and abroad
One ledger for families paying in India or abroad
Chessverse shows rupee pricing and WhatsApp progress reports. ChessCore adds UPI AutoPay mandates through Razorpay and Stripe for families abroad, from the Grow plan, and a family ledger with online payments matched to their invoice. Chessverse prices per student; ChessCore prices by flat capacity tier. For the India specifics, see chess academy software for India.
Decide in 60 seconds
Who each is best for
Choose Chessverse if you prefer per-student pricing in plan bands, or its nine mini-games. ChessCore supports simuls and installable web portals; screen sharing and mini-games are planned, and complete chain white label remains in development.
Choose ChessCore if you want one product that runs the whole academy and gives students puzzles, AI opponents, classmate games and live classes, with engine-verified reviews, AI report drafts that wait for a person, India-deep billing, flat pricing and the “the AI drafts, a person reviews” guardrail that matters when the students are minors. Start with the chess academy management software overview.

The picker only lines up this page’s own fit notes against your answers. It is not a test of either product: run one batch in a trial before you decide.
If you already run on Chessverse and are weighing a move, the effort of switching has its own page: what carries over, what needs manual setup and how to test on one batch. Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is ChessCore a Chessverse alternative?
Yes. Both run the academy and the place students train. ChessCore goes deeper on operations and money (make-up credits, substitutions, payroll preparation, UPI AutoPay, a family ledger with online payments matched to their invoice) and adds Stockfish review with AI report drafts a coach approves. ChessCore supports simuls and installable web portals; complete chain white label remains in development, and screen sharing and mini-games are planned.
Does ChessCore have a puzzle library or live classes like Chessverse?
Yes. ChessCore ships a catalog of 6,095,563 rated puzzles from the open Lichess puzzle database (Chessverse lists 5M+), puzzle sets matched to each student’s weak themes. A spaced-repetition training queue with streaks and a leaderboard schedules practice, plus play against human-like AI opponents, classmate games, and a live classroom with a shared board. ChessCore classes have built-in video and audio with a shared chessboard; screen sharing is planned. Chessverse lists live virtual classes with a shared board, real-time video, screen sharing and chat.
Which is better for an Indian academy?
Chessverse shows its prices in rupees and says parents can get progress reports by WhatsApp or email. ChessCore adds Razorpay UPI AutoPay mandates and Stripe for families abroad (from the Grow plan) and a family ledger, on flat capacity pricing instead of a fee per student. The prices are in different currencies and this page does not convert them. Choose Chessverse if white-labeling with branded apps is your deciding factor.
Where do the Chessverse facts come from?
Every Chessverse claim on this page is taken from Chessverse’s own website, chessverse.in, as read on 16 October 2026. Where we recorded no claim we write “Not recorded”, which does not mean the feature is missing. Re-check their site for current details before deciding.
